Founded in 1925, WASGAU Produktions & Handels AG remains committed to regional ties, sustainability, freshness, and quality. The company is built on four pillars: the butcher shop, the fruit and vegetable section, the wine cellar, and the bakery. During our 13th networking meeting of the West Palatinate Women Leaders, we had the opportunity to experience the bakery’s in-house production firsthand. Four dedicated women leaders made this special insight possible, particularly Dr. Ursula Krell, head of WASGAU's construction department, who initiated the visit.

The close friendship between the American community in Kaiserslautern and 1. FC Kaiserslautern has existed for many years—whether on a personal level through fan clubs that have even made their way to the U.S., or through joint projects such as the “9/11 Stair Climb” at the Fritz-Walter-Stadion, which commemorates the first responders who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

The Westpfalz-Klinikum is one of the largest hospitals in Rhineland-Palatinate, and with its locations in Kaiserslautern, Kusel, Kirchheimbolanden, and Rockenhausen, it serves as a central pillar of regional healthcare. With around 4,000 employees and 1,370 beds across 40 clinics, departments, and institutes, the hospital is also one of the region’s most important employers.

When people think of MiniTec GmbH, headquartered in Schönenberg-Kübelberg, many don’t immediately realise what products this company develops and sells. However, there’s a good chance you’ve already come into contact with a MiniTec product, even if you may not realise it. We discovered this first-hand at the Leadership Connect meeting with American Army and Air Force leaders. Also,we couldn't have picked a better time for a visit: MiniTec will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2026!
