For our 9th network meeting, we had the pleasure of hosting the FührungsFrauen Westpfalz at 42kaiserslautern - a location that provided the ideal setting for our meeting with its modern atmosphere and innovative concept.
After being welcomed by Jutta Metzler, ZRW board member and IHK vice president, we were treated to an exciting talk by Antje Boerner, exhibition curator of the 42. In her presentation, she gave us fascinating insights into the development and vision of this special place. A fact that was particularly impressive: the topics of the current interactive exhibition were developed in advance together with citizens - a strong sign of active participation and that the questions and concerns of the people in the region are taken seriously. The exhibition invites visitors to try things out and join in - and looks forward to welcoming curious visitors of all ages.
But the 42 is more than just an exhibition space. It is a dynamic meeting place with highly modern event and meeting rooms, such as the think tank or the knowledge studio, as well as a cozy café that invites you to linger. Further exhibitions are already being planned - including on important topics such as inclusion. The 42 brings real added value to Kaiserslautern, a city that has developed from a traditional industrial location into an attractive location for science and innovation - with the clear aim of attracting and retaining skilled workers in the long term and showing them the quality of life in the region.
In the second part of the meeting, things got creative: in an open think tank, we worked together to develop new ideas for the further development of our network. The exchange was lively, inspiring and characterized by many concrete suggestions from the group.
We would like to thank the 42 team for their hospitality and all the participants for the open, committed exchange. This evening has once again shown how much potential there is in our region and our network - and what comes out of it when strong women come together!
